Design for Democracy

Design for Democracy is an AIGA initiative that uses design tools and thinking to try to improve interactions between Americans and their government.

Established in 1998 by the AIGA, the Professional Design Association, Design for Democracy collaborates with researchers, designers and policy-makers in the service of public sector clients.

In 2009 I worked as the program’s manager, during which time the group developed a vision for clear disclosure of credit card terms for The New York Times and made recommendations to Obama’s transition team.
